Attorney Q&A’s

Am I limited to Title IX proceedings, or can I also pursue a lawsuit?

A person is not limited to Title IX proceedings if you have been the victim of gender discrimination, sexual harassment and violence, or retaliation.

The United States Supreme Court determined that under Title IX, you may seek money damages from a school that has been deliberately indifferent to risks of sexual assault or harassment by teachers, staff, or fellow students, or if the harassment or retaliation occurs against a student or employee for exercising their rights protected by Title IX.

At Monaco Cooper Lamme & Carr, we represent students and employees in lawsuits involving Title IX gender discrimination, sexual harassment and violence, and unlawful retaliation cases.

If your rights have been violated, please contact us. We will determine if you have a claim and fight for your rights.
