The small companies named as 2020 Best Places to Work in Albany

Each year, our Best Places to Work awards program highlights some of the companies that have the region’s most engaged and committed employees.

These companies do business in different industries, but share a culture that their employees say sets them apart from other workplaces.

This week, we’re announcing the 48 winning companies. Today, we start with the companies in the small category, from 10 to 24 employees. On Tuesday we’ll have the medium-sized companies (25-49 employees), medium-large companies (50-149 employees) on Wednesday, finishing up with the large companies (150+ employees) on Thursday.

This is the 17th year of our Best Places to Work awards, and more than 110 companies submitted nominations to be included in the program. Winners were selected based on data collected by our program partner, Quantum Workplace of Omaha, Nebraska, which sends confidential surveys to employees.

To qualify, companies had to have enough employees return the survey — and rate the company highly enough to win in what is always a competitive field.
