Attorney Q&A’s

Who will work on my case in addition to the attorney I hire?

At Monaco Cooper Lamme and Carr, we take a team approach to each case. You, the client, are a member of the team, as well as a partner, the associate attorney, and paralegal. This type of collaboration ensures comprehensive, cost-effective representation.

Who will work on your case? Well, that depends on the type of matter, as well as the complexity, importance, and potential impact of the work involved. Of course, we listen to our clients and their preferences, but to be cost-conscious the partner on your case will delegate work to the associate and paralegals, where appropriate, while personally handling other areas of the work.

For instance, in a civil matter, the partner may handle the depositions and trial, while the associate may handle discovery and motion practice, and the paralegal may compile records and retain experts. In a real estate closing, the paralegal may handle all closing transactions while the partner or associate attends the closing itself. If you are writing a will, the partner may handle from top to bottom.

As you can see, it varies from case to case, but the important thing for you to know is you will always know who is assigned to your team and you can contact any one of us at any time.
